I treat adult individuals and couples and I work in a manner that reflects my own values of integration through a mind, body and spirit awareness.
Born in Africa, I was exposed to a variety
of cultures and lifestyles and I bring to the
therapeutic relationship sensitivity to
diversity and acculturation. I am keenly
interested in how societal, cultural and
gender expectations influence young women
and how these pressures to conform affect
their self-esteem and overall mental health.
I focus primarily on disordered eating, anxiety,
depression, grief and loss and issues related
to sexual health – abuse, dysfunction or
sexual identity concerns.
My literature review examines the effects
childhood sexual abuse plays in disordered
eating in adult females and is published
I earned my bachelor's degree from
California State University Northridge and
a master’s degree in psychology from
Phillips Graduate Institute. I am a member
of the CA Marriage and Family Association
